MUSIC, MUSEUMS AND MORE

With our creative backgrounds, we particularly enjoy writing about the arts. From press releases to festival guides, our copy has helped artists and cultural organisations engage the general public, reach audiences and, of course, sell some tickets.

Years of contributing to various cultural pages of The Age led to gigs writing for festivals including the Melbourne International Jazz Festival, various film festivals for Palace Cinemas and the Alliance Française Film Festival for five years straight.

OPEN HOUSE MELBOURNE

Open House Melbourne opens the doors to more than 100 buildings for more than 100,000 curious visitors over one weekend every July. From 2011 to 2017, we wrote and edited the souvenir program, designed by Cornwell. Since each building supplied its own content, our task was to provide a consistent voice, as well as translating from archi-speak to everyday language.

SO FRENCHY SO CHIC

We began our collaboration with So Frenchy So Chic back in 2009 with a simple press release for one of its annual compilation albums. We followed this up with copywriting for touring artists such as Nouvelle Vague as well as liner notes, interviews and advertorials. When the brand expanded to a major summer festival, now held in three cities, we came along for the ride with copy about the music, food and trademark joie de vivre that makes So Frenchy so popular.

MAMA

MAMA is the Murray Art Museum Albury, the region’s major cultural destination which launched in 2015. We collaborated with the brand consultancy Nixon Counsel, the design studio Kindred and the local government at Albury City to establish this new brand as an art gallery which local people could embrace as their own. This led to an irreverent tone of voice (set out in a style guide) which we employed across programs, brochures, web content and ads.
