'A love letter to Brunswick'

When many people hear the phrase 'property development' they think of apartments. We do write about apartments, but, increasingly, we've been writing about town houses, town homes and town residences. While these projects are often smaller in scale, the scope is often more considered, with a focus on individuality. These projects often have a very specific target demographic in mind, and a more refined story to tell.

That was certainly the case at Barry Street, a townhouse project created by the renowned developer Milieu with the intention of capturing the essence of its location: Brunswick. The area, the characters and the lifestyle of this unique inner-northern part of Melbourne was as much a part of the brand as the townhouses themselves.

Barry Street is responsible, responsive and thoughtful in its design, which was why Milieu invited prospective buyers to tell them what they’d like in a home.

We began our work with Studio Hi Ho by crafting a survey for prospective residents, the results of which would go on to inform the architecture.

For the full marketing campaign, we also wrote copy for EDMs, brochures and even our first crossword for the Milieu broadsheet.

Cyncis who believe all property marketing to be the same should look to Barry Street. This was a boutique and considered campaign to match the qualities of the project. It clearly worked, with all townhouses selling almost immediately.
