NOT-FOR-PROFIT

'Connecting people with good design and architecture'

In 2011 our digital friends at Efront introduced us to Open House Melbourne – a not-for-profit organisation that celebrates good architecture and urban design through its immensely popular annual event. Over one weekend in July, around 100 buildings open their doors to the public to upwards of 100,000 visitors.

When we began our partnership with Open House, our first task was to edit the event’s 110-page program. As each building supplied its own information, our priority was to ensure a consistency of voice across the document. We also kept the copy light, informative and engaging to connect with a wide cross-section of the public.

While editing the 2011 program in, we developed a style guide to assist the communications team with language consistency across the organisation.

We also helped with EDMs as the event grew nearer, as well as website copy, headlines and interviews with architects and design practitioners.

We’re proud to have been an official supporter of Open House Melbourne by writing the official program every year since 2011.

As well as working alongside the communications team at Open House, we enjoy the chance to collaborate with our friends at Cornwell and Efront. We often don't see the result of our labours, so it's particularly gratifying to attend the weekend event and see thousands of people reading the program we’ve helped to produce.
